Timbermade is committed to supporting a sustainable environment. We use only high quality responsibly sourced timbers including Australian Rose Gum and plantation Western Red Cedar. These timbers are highly durable, very stable and ideal for outdoor applications. Western Red Cedar is a highly durable and sustainable timber, noted for its longevity in outdoor applications and resistance to rot. We have built close relationships with a number of Melbourne-based timber suppliers to ensure reliable access to a large range of sustainable and high-quality materials.

Quality Statement

All of our products are manufactured and assembled by hand to the highest possible standard. We triple sand our timbers to give a professional finish and exclusively use marine glues and galvanised nails to ensure longevity in all weather conditions.

Gates

Our built-to-order Western Red Cedar gates are manufactured entirely by hand using traditional and time proven construction methods. We hand cut all tenons, drill every mortise and fix all joins neatly together using galvanised screws and marine-grade glues. All gates are made-to-measure and built on a substantial 90mm x 70mm solid Western Red Cedar frame, ensuring they will withstand the harsh Australian climate and retain their original form for many years to come.

For your convenience, we have a number of classic designs from which to choose. We are also proud to offer a fully customisable, bespoke service for anyone wanting a unique set of gates. Customisable features include crosses, capping rails, lining boards, frame, and more. From modern design to traditional charm, we can make gates to suit your style and home.

LetterBoxes

Our handcrafted Australian Rose Gum or Western Red Cedar letterboxe are manufactured using marine grade glues and galvanised nails to ensure durability and longevity. We have a wide range of styles available to suit modern and traditional homes in both urban and rural settings. With over 30 years experience in the industry, we can manufacture letterboxes to suit your individual needs, or help you select the best letterbox for your home from our extensive range. All of our letterboxes can be finished with polished chrome, satin chrome or brass fittings; or finished with a timber edge for a less formal look.

Bird Boxes

Carefully handcrafted from sustainable pine, our bird boxes provide a focal point for local birds and look fabulous in the garden. They can be made to any specifications and in a variety of styles to suit your application. All bird boxes are hand painted and finished to ensure each one is unique and in-keeping with your garden or setting.
